Carbohydrates are what are used to metabolize fat. Ketones are nothing but glucose. So if the body uses up all the glucose that is being produced during metabolism, the body will begin to burn the glucose instead of the fat. So the body will have to switch gears and begin to make ketones as a substitute for glucose. This is why you see people claim to be keto for two weeks and then go back to eating carbs again.

However, there are also side effects of using keto. One of the main complaints is losing the ability to hold onto water in the body and the loss of many good bacteria in the intestines.

Well, this is what I have discovered and has solved the issue of not being able to digest my food properly. You see when you try to use keto the bacteria in the intestines are no longer able to absorb the water from the food, so it has to pass through the intestines undigested, the other bacteria then start working overtime breaking down the food and waste products of the digestion, this takes a toll on the body.

So the solution is to get rid of the bacteria in the intestines and its whole new bag of tricks. This works and was the key to allowing me to start losing weight with keto.

The trick is to realize how keto works and its necessity. By eliminating these gases you will find that you can effectively maintain ketosis while still enjoying keto.

The way keto works are that you lose fats, not your fatty acids. The fat is being used up by the body instead of being converted into usable energy. But this leads to this effect.

To prevent this problem the body starts using up the bad cholesterol and the healthy cholesterol gets reduced. This is a real issue because ketosis is a health benefit, and a major side effect of keto is the lowering of HDL (good) cholesterol levels, which is causing a whole host of heart issues.

The solution for this is very simple and works wonders, you must increase the level of good cholesterol in the body to normal levels, so that the levels of bad cholesterol will be lessened, and this is where I discovered an awesome way to do this. It is through the use of eating carbohydrates rather than the bad ones.

What I did was eat a lot of carbohydrates, but they were not the bad types, they were high-quality ones such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. The ones that you would normally be advised to eat as a matter of course.

But instead of eating a large portion of them, I ate only a small amount, so I was eating good carbohydrates. After doing this, I went back to keto, and I was back to feeling normal. This shows that keto can work and is a great way to maintain ketosis, and this article showed me how to do it.
